The M Plan is known as a mushroom-rich diet, which has been followed by a few celebrities in the past.
The M Plan is a 14 day diet that replaces regular lunch or dinner with a mushroom dish. It encourages weight loss from body areas like the stomach, bottoms, thighs and upper arms whilst still keeping the bust intact.
All you have to do is eat a mushroom-packed lunch or dinner every day for two weeks and watch the pounds drop away! Does that sound like an easy way to lose weight? Well, it does for me.
I am not sure if this will work or not, but I am going to give it a try. I wouldn't mind losing some weight from my stomach, upper arms, thighs, and bottom. So, what I will do is eat mushrooms for lunch and dinner for two weeks and see how much weight I can lose.
Mushrooms are high in fibre, rich in protein, high in B vitamins, iron, and zinc, which help make your skin, hair, and nails strong, healthy, and shiny.
They are also low in calories.
Here is an example food plan for 3 days, but eat mushrooms for 2 weeks. (I will follow something similar to this below) :
Monday
Breakfast
1 slice of Wholemeal toast with grilled tomatoes.
Lunch
2 egg omelet with mushrooms, cucumber, spinach, pepper, and lemon.
Dinner
Salmon, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber.
Tuesday
Breakfast
Banana and 2 satsumas
Lunch
French beans, mushrooms, and 2 scrambled eggs.
Dinner
Skinless fish, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes.
Wednesday
Breakfast
2 boiled eggs with tomatoes
Lunch
Mushroom soup and salad.
Dinner
Skinless chicken, mushrooms and lettuce with cucumber.
I will be drinking black coffee sometimes (stevia sweetener can be used), Oolong tea (around 3 or 4 cups per day). Drink lots of water, at least 2 liters.
See my article on Oolong tea

Mushrooms are a favourite of mine, so there is certainly an appeal to the idea of replacing one meat-based meal each day with a mushroom dish.
ReplyDeleteBut looking at the menu you've set out above, I'd be concerned that the calorie intake isn't evenly spread throughout the day, and that perhaps you're not going to be taking in enough calories to satisfy your body's needs. If you deprive yourself too much, or if you alternate between feast and famine, you'll likely end up gaining weight or staying at your current weight.
